As the cycling season kicked off with the Tour Down Under from January 12th to 14th, Team COOP - Repsol was geared up for an exhilarating start to the 2024 season. The opening stage from Hahndorf to Campbelltown set the stage for Team COOP - Repsol's stellar performance. French rider India Grangier made her mark by joining a breakaway group, showcasing her climbing prowess and securing valuable bonus seconds. In the hilly terrain of Glenelg to Stirling, the team rallied to support Grangier and maintain her overall position. Despite the demanding course, Grangier finished 20th, retaining her 6th place standing heading into the decisive final stage.

 

The Iconic Willunga Hill:

The final stage's ascent up Willunga Hill proved to be the ultimate test for the riders. While Grangier aimed to defend her position, she faced tough competition and finished 21st overall. Despite the challenge, Grangier reflected positively on the team's performance, highlighting her breakthrough on the first stage as a standout moment.

 

Stine Dale's Remarkable Performance:

Stine Dale's impressive showing on the final stage earned her recognition as the "Most Competitive Rider," adding to the team's achievements in the Tour Down Under. Dale's fearless approach and determination resonated with fans and teammates alike, underscoring the team's spirit of excellence.

The team's Australian campaign continued with the Deakin University Elite Women's Road Race in Geelong.
