Mountain biking history was made in Passi City, Iloilo, as local pride Adrian Nacario became the first-ever Men Elite XCO champion of the inaugural ACF ASEAN MTB Championship. The challenging 27.3km race saw Nacario showcasing exceptional skills, outsprinting Thailand National Team’s Phunsiri Sirimongkhon in a nail-biting finish. Both riders clocked in at an impressive 1:19:15, a testament to their world-class performance.

Go For Gold: The Team to Beat

Nacario’s victory cemented Go For Gold's dominance in the Men’s XCO category. James dela Cruz and Mark Louwell Valderama added to the team's podium streak by securing 3rd and 4th places, respectively. The Malaysian riders from Helaz-Malaysia, Awang Ilah and Zulkifli, rounded out the top six, making for a fiercely competitive race among the 30 participants.

Earlier in the day, Go For Gold’s rising stars shone brightly. Joh Andre Aguja and Thirdy Manaay brought home gold medals in the XCO Men Junior and Youth categories, respectively, further showcasing the team's depth and talent.
