Jonas Orset: Getting Ready for an Exciting Spring

At CCN Sport, we are thrilled to feature Jonas Orset, the Nordic Trailblazer, as he gears up for an action-packed gravel racing season. With winter coming to an end, the anticipation for open roads and rugged trails is growing. Jonas has an exciting race schedule ahead, each event testing endurance, skill, and mental toughness.

Stay on Track: Trailblazer Event Schedule

Starting in the Texan Countryside – March 8

The season begins with the Valley of Tears Gravel in Texas. While the landscape is stunning, this race is known for its punishing climbs and relentless terrain. It’s a true test of resilience—especially coming straight from the cold Norwegian winter.

Spring Classic in Oklahoma – March 15

Next up is the Mid South Gravel, a fan-favorite known for its red gravel roads and amazing community. This event is more than just a race—it’s an experience filled with camaraderie and support among fellow gravel enthusiasts.

UCI Race in Belgium – March 23

On to Europe for the UCI Gravel Turnhout, a part of the UCI World Series and a qualifier for the World Championship in Nice. With a mix of fast gravel roads and technical sections, this race is sure to deliver high-speed thrills.

DNF GRVL on Home Grounds – April 12

Organizing his own race, DNF GRVL, is a personal highlight for Jonas. Short for "Did Not Finish," this Western-themed 100-mile event is all about adventure and resilience. It’s a reminder to embrace the challenge and enjoy the ride.

The Traka in Girona – May 3

One of the biggest endurance tests of the season, Traka 360 spans a massive 360 kilometers through the breathtaking landscapes of Girona, Catalonia. This will push both body and mind to the limit, making the finish line victory all the sweeter.

Back to Texas – May 24

The season wouldn’t be complete without the Gravel Locos—an event that’s as much about fun and community as it is about racing. The challenging course is balanced by the warm, celebratory atmosphere that makes this race a must-attend.

The Big One in Kansas – May 31

Finally, the grand finale: Unbound Gravel, the world’s most prestigious gravel race. After last year’s 22nd-place finish following a 100-mile breakaway, Jonas is setting his sights on a top 10 finish this year.

Exciting News Ahead

As Jonas gears up for an incredible season, we’ll be following his journey and bringing you exclusive insights along the way. Plus, there’s some exciting news on the equipment front that we can’t wait to share. Stay tuned for more updates and see you on the trails!
