Mentorise Elite Team Shines at Ziridava Road Race

In preparation for the upcoming National Championships, the Mentorise Elite Team left no stone unturned and took on the challenge at this year's edition of the Ziridava Road Race. Despite having only two of their riders, Justin Vaidian and Leo Barbu, in the competition, the team showcased their strength and determination, making their presence felt throughout the weekend.

The race featured two stages, including a demanding hill climb time trial and a plan-flat road stage. It served as the final test for the Mentorise Elite Team before the highly anticipated National Champs, scheduled to take place at the end of the week.

Following an impressive performance in the hill climb race, Justin Vaidian showed great form, securing a commendable 5th place overall, just 10 seconds away from the podium. With everything to play for in the 100km plan-flat stage on Sunday, the team geared up for an intense battle.

The race unfolded at a rapid pace, with the peloton maintaining a relentless tempo throughout. However, a decisive breakaway consisting of three riders managed to slip away at the halfway point, eluding the chasing pack. Despite the valiant efforts of both Justin and Leo, the peloton couldn't organize a successful chase to reel them back in.

Nonetheless, Justin showcased his determination and sprinting prowess by winning the peloton sprint, securing a bittersweet 4th place overall finish and a remarkable bronze medal in the U23 category. It was an impressive achievement, highlighting his resilience and skill.

The Mentorise Elite Team celebrates their achievements and acknowledges the areas where improvements can be made. With the National Championships just around the corner, the team is more determined than ever to come back stronger, leaving no room for regrets.

Stay tuned for more updates on their journey as they continue to push their limits and strive for excellence. Let's rally behind the Mentorise Elite Team as they represent their colors with pride and determination. 🇷🇴🚴‍♂️
